You can find all genres of live
bands nightly as well as national talent and many
up-and-coming local bands. Many shows are 18+ and
they tend to pull high-school students. Serves
food. Alcohol, 21 w/ID. The setup inside the Roxy
offers just the right intimate atmosphere for a
club with a slightly more than intimate capacity.
The stage is big enough for the high energy bands
to put on an aerobic live performance, and if they
have the crowd draw, the floor in front of the
stage will be packed with patrons (usually kids)
responding with hyperactivity of their own. Just
outside the floor are tables for the more reserved
crowd who, if lucky enough to snag a sitting spot,
can enjoy their music without the sore feet or
occasional brushing from some sweat-oozing
monstrosity. Fans of live music cannot help but
make this historic venue a part of their regular
rotation.
